SCHOLARSHIPS

The Barre Riding & Driving Club is pleased to have the opportunity to award two different types of scholarships

  • A scholarship for students to further their education after high school, and
  • a scholarship for equestrians to use towards their participation in camps and other approved horse programs.

    $600.00 scholarship are available to local students to help them further their education.
    Members and their families are given first consideration.
    Students can get the scholarship  applications at the Quabbin Regional High School Guidance Department.

    bRDC EQUI-SHIP SCHOLARSHIPS

    Five $200.00 Equi-ship scholarships are available for children and adults involved in horses. 
    The purposed “event” must meet the following criteria:                 
    *    A camp or clinic for children or adults that are learning about horsemanship.
    *   Intercollegiate or interscholastic programs such as IEA, IHSA, Pony Club & 4-H are accepted.  
    *   It is not necessary to own your own horse.
    *   The event must be held in 2022.
    *   BRDC members get preferred status.

    Applicant is responsible in making sure the program they will be attending has sufficient liability insurance.
    Equi-ship money may not be used for horse training, riding lessons, equipment or clothing apparel.
